FLATSTOCK 19 / FLATSTOCK EUROPE 3
At the Reeperbahn Festival
Spielbudenplatz
Hamburg, Germany
September 25th, 26th and 27th, 2008
4-11pm each day

For the third year running, The API joins with the Reeperbahn Festival to present Flatstock Europe.
Located on the Spielbudenplatz , right in the middle of Hamburg’s infamous Reeperbahn, Flatstock Europe is an international summit of rock poster art like no other. Exhibition space will be provided for up to forty artists. Travel and accommodation to be arranged by the artist.

Flatstock Europe registration requires API membership.
Artists spaces will be tents with dividers, very much like in Chicago. A 3x3m half-tent is roughly equivalent to a single space at a North American Flatstock. A limited number of 3x6m undivided full tents will be available depending on participation.

-half tent (3x3m) for 3 days: 120,- € (taxes incl.)

-full tent (3x6m) for 3 days: 240,- € (taxes incl.)

Registration will be up soon.

Bonnaroo '08

We have been asked to participate in the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, TN (about 45 mins. south of Nashville) as an official API Show again.

This is similar to a Flatstock type setup except its outside and lasts 4 days with booths open for 18 hours per day. roughly 9A to 3A.

Load in is June 11th before 8pm and load out is the evening of the 15th or morning of the 16th.

Booth areas are roughly 10x10 per studio all under one large strip of tenting. cardboard is provided just like a regular FS event.

Booth fees will be around $450 as they usually are. This fee covers attendance for all 4 days plus camping and passes for 2 'assistants' per studio. this is a deal since the smoothie and corndog guys pay around $2500 for the same space.

we are provided vendor camping so we're not in the sea of 'civilians'. Parking / camping is secure and civilians do not have access to vendor camping without proper credentials. this keeps foot traffic down and it's actually a cooler climate at night away form the masses of bodies piled on top of each other out in the acres and acres of campsites for spectators.

The weekend is very casual and we are always received well by the captive audience of 80,000 music fans who love to buy posters.

I am located in Nashville so packages can be shipped to my shop in town prior to your arrival. I will also arrange to pick up anyone flying in if need be. Once we all convene in Nashville we'll caravan down to the site on wednesday late afternoon.

If you're interested please email me for a contract and sign-up at: avastagh(at)americanposterinstitute.com

I'll need to deliver final names to our contact by May 1st so they can arrange for us to have the space we will need. Contracts will be due then which will secure your space for the event. no contract, no show.

Since space is somewhat limited this will be a first come, first served situation.

Heres the short of it:
• BONNAROO 08
• Depart Nashville late afternoon - Load in June 11 / Open June 12-15 / load out evening of june 15 or morning of june 16.
• 10x10 booth fee estimated at around $450
• 2 'booth assistants' allowed per single artist / studio (3 passes per studio)
• Packages CAN be shipped prior to event
• long days + captive audience = sales
• Contracts due May 1st / first come first served / space is limited

Email or call me at 615.975.1921 for more details and answers to questions.

Feel free to ask questions in this thread and I'll do my best to check in regularly.
